Enjoy a walk through the Elawa Gardens, taking a peek at our sustainably-grown vegetables & flowers. Take a moment to chat with our Garden Manager. Keep an eye out for honey bees, butterflies, garter snakes, toads & Sandhill Cranes!

Our Garden Market  is open Friday & Saturday 8am-1pm from mid-May through October. You will find produce, herbs and flowers harvested directly from the Elawa Garden, as well as fresh food from the Elawa Kitchen. 

Save the date! Our Garden Market will reopen on Friday and Saturday, May 12 and 13, 2023. Regular hours are 8 am - 1 pm during the market season.

Home to a rare tallgrass savanna, Middlefork Savanna's nearly 100 acres features a mix of oak savanna and woodlands, wet and mesic prairies, sedge meadows and marshes. Middlefork provides valuable protection for many state and federally listed species. 

A 25-acre parcel here is considered the highest quality tallgrass savanna of its kind in the nation and recognized as a globally threatened ecosystem.
