Join Chef Gale Gand in the Learning Kitchen to celebrate the start of spring and Easter by learning how to prepare eggs with different techniques. In this cooking demonstration, we will make poached eggs for a Classic French Frisée Salad, Cheese Souffle, and Cream Puffs filled with Coffee Custard for dessert. Tastes will be provided.

Ever seen a foam capped cocktail pass by you at your favorite bar or restaurant? That right there is an egg white cocktail, shaken furiously to create a light, texture-rich, and delightful drink! In this Easter themed cocktail class with Chiyo Takemoto from Apologue Liqueurs, you will learn the proper techniques of incorporating egg white to three cocktails, including Clover Club, Flip, and Pisco Sour. All supplies, ingredients, and recipes included. A light fare will be provided at the beginning of the class.

Spend a fun, spring morning designing with Eileen Weber, AAF of Lake Forest Flowers! Each parent & child will create their own fresh floral posey featuring assorted spring flowers to take home. In this three hour, hands-on class we will break down a whole lamb muscle by muscle. You’ll get to hand-cut lamb chops, grind fresh lamb, and learn where all your favorite cuts come from. By the end of class, the students will have broken the lamb down into cookable cuts like shoulder roasts, leg of lamb, and loin chops. Each student will take home approximately 5-10 pounds of locally raised, pastured lamb. We will end the class by sharing some delicious charcuterie, cheese, and natural wine. Class will run approximately from 1pm to 4pm.

¡Verano con Elawa! (Summer with Elawa!) is a cultural experience that integrates Spanish language & Latin cultures. In this camp, Campistas will learn basic Spanish vocabulary, name a gallina (chicken), enjoy bilingual story time, explore Latin-inspired recipes, create Mexican arts & crafts, and more! There will be bilingual activities led by guest educators. No previous Spanish-language knowledge required!
